其实你问的所有问题,项目官方网站上都有,与其在这里问,为什么不多动手查一查呢?
Texas Master of Science Business Analytics

美国版Quara上有人问了这样一个问题:
What results are we seeing from data science graduate programs?
For the past several years, more and more advanced programs in data science and analytics have been popping up. From Northwestern to Berkeley ranging from MS degrees to professional letters. I'd like to hear from some of the candidates in these programs regarding their experiences and the skills acquired. Do you think it was worth your time and money? And from people in the industry, what have you been seeing from the graduates who are entering the work force? Are you actively recruiting from any particular programs? Do you notice some schools crank out candidates better equipped for entry in the job market?
I went through the University of Texas at Austin's MS in Business Analytics program last year. I would not have the job I have now (Data Scientist with an IT consultancy focusing on the finance industry) if I had not gone to UT. The jobs people got were great, and I went from making $17 an hour before the program (as a copy editor) to actually being able to afford NYC. Texas' program is a bit unique in that it is run through a business school but brings in highly qualified profs from the electrical and computer engineering department to teach the heavy quantitative content. My view as someone in industry is that there are plenty of people who "get" business and plenty of engineers who "get" the data stuff but almost no one who gets both. Plenty of good compsci programs are doing data science now, and plenty of good business schools are doing analytics programs, but no other program I found has top notch programs in both sides and has actual synergy (e.g. NYU's Business Analytics through Stern and NYU's MS in data science seem totally separated, and are tremendously different programs). UT was unquestionably worth the time and money. It only took a year, and since it was a public school it was one of the cheapest MS programs out there. This is coming from someone who was an undergrad at Northwestern (who also offers an analytics MS), for what it is worth.
