光绪重宝是清德宗爱新觉罗载湉在光绪年间 公元1875—1908年 所铸的当五、当十钱 。 形制较小平钱工整 ， 面文为清秀楷书 ， 直读 ， 背穿左右为满文宝局名 ， 上、下为汉文“当五”或“当十”二字 。 传世以户部宝泉局和工部宝源局铸造的较为常见 ， 旧谱所列的各省局铸造的18品 ， 恐系补铸 ， 今不多见 。
