Try to enhance your logic and critical thinking.-----------Here are some key elements that make up your lengthy work.(a) clichés or dead imagery(b) complicated verb phrases substituted for simple verbs(c) Pretentious words, foreign loan words, and jargon(d) Vague, ambiguous and meaningless words and phrases-----------I will explain each and give an example of the following.a)Often get used to avoid thinking clearly enough about the primary subject matter to invent a vivid and appropriate phrases and imagery.A cliché is a phrase that is overused, predictable, unoriginal, and which betrays a failure to think about the subject matter in a fresh and attentive way.E.g. as different as apples and orangesA metaphor is the transfer of vocabulary, associations, and commonplaces about one subject matter to emphasize, suppress, and reorganize another subject matter.E.g. swan songb)The complicated phrases make sentences unnecessarily wordy and euphemistic; they tend to soften our language and obscure what could be said in simple direct language.E.g. mistakes were madec)Are often used to make simple or biased sentences seem objective, scientific, or impartial. Euphemisms are ways of softening the language so as to talk about bad things as if they were good things or even as if they were neutral, thereby obscuring the values those things have.E.g. status quo and weltanschauungd)Words that sound fine or impressive but get used without any clear meaning or without sorting out which of various meanings is intended may be used to dishonestly mislead or obscure what is said.E.g. democracy-----------Orwell’s six rules to help avoid misleading language.I.\tNever use a metaphor, which you are used to seeing in print.II.\tNever use a long word where a short one will do.III.\tEliminate unnecessary words.IV.\tNever use the passive voice where you can use the active voice.V.\tNever use a foreign phrase, a scientific word or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.VI.\tBreak any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.-----------May be updated at anytime.Sincerely welcome to point out the mistakes, thanks.

再次复习一边文言文,尽量限制自己每句话的字数。但这得看情况暂时写这么多,明天继续,这个问题价值很高
